Every morning that God gifts us with awakening to another day, it is an invitation. Not an obligation. Not a burden. Not another item on your never-ending to-do list. It’s an invitation. Before the emails start coming, the notifications begin competing for your attention, and the demands of life start pulling on every piece of you, God gifts us something priceless every single day: a fresh start. If we’re not careful, we’ll spend that gift reacting to everyone else’s priorities while neglecting the very dreams, desires, and assignments He placed inside of us. I’ve learned over the years that the people who build lives they love aren’t necessarily the smartest, wealthiest, or most connected. However, the become the smartest, wealthiest and most connected because they are often the people who wake up with intention. They understand that before they can conquer the world, they must first conquer their mindset. They make it their priority to get their minds right. Because your day will always follow the direction of your thoughts, if you wake up believing you’re behind, you’ll spend the day chasing. If you wake up believing you’re unqualified, you’ll spend the day doubting. If you wake up believing your dreams are too big, you’ll spend the day shrinking. But when you wake up believing that God has already gone before you…Everything changes. You begin moving differently. You stop asking for permission to become who you’ve been called to be. You stop waiting for someone to discover your brilliance. You stop waiting for the perfect timing, the perfect opportunity, the perfect introduction, or the perfect circumstances. You start creating space, opportunities, momentum, and the life you’ve been imagining. The truth is, many of us are living on the edge of something extraordinary. We can feel it. It’s that idea we keep thinking about. That business we keep talking ourselves out of starting. That book we haven’t written. That nonprofit we haven’t launched. That trip we keep postponing. That purpose-filled life we keep placing on hold while waiting for a green light from someone who was never assigned to direct our journey. However, here’s what I want you to know today: The things you desire most aren’t random. The dreams that won’t leave you alone aren’t accidents. The ideas that keep showing up in your spirit aren’t there to torment you. They’re clues, invitations, and the whispers from God pointing you toward the life He designed specifically for you. It’s time to “pay attention” to what your soul keeps returning to, to what energizes you, and to what breaks your heart and what sets your heart on fire. Pay attention to the vision that keeps showing up when you allow yourself to dream without limitations, because often, purpose lives there. Not in the expectations of others, society’s checklist, or in what everyone else thinks you should be doing. Purpose often lives in that sacred place where your gifts, passions, experiences, and faith intersect. Take note on the part many people miss: You don’t need permission to pursue it. You don’t need a committee meeting. You don’t need unanimous approval. You don’t need everyone to understand. You simply need the courage to move…One step…One decision…One act of faith at a time.
Every morning, before you touch your phone, before you scroll, before you consume everyone else’s vision, spend a few moments with God.
Ask Him:
“Who have You called me to be today?”
“What should I focus on today?”
“What assignment have You placed in my hands?”
Then listen! When the answer comes, “Honor it, Protect it, Pursue it”, because the life you desire isn’t built only in giant leaps. It is built in daily acts of intentionality. It is built when you decide that your dreams deserve your attention. It is built when you stop waiting for validation and start operating in conviction. It is built when you trust that what God placed inside of you is enough to begin. The world is full of people waiting. Waiting for the right moment. Waiting for confidence. Waiting for permission. Waiting for someone to choose them. But I believe there is another group emerging, women and men who are choosing themselves. People who are partnering with God and saying:
- “I may not know every step, but I trust the One ordering them.”
- “I may not have all the resources, but I have faith.”
- “I may not have all the answers, but I have the courage to begin.”
Maybe that’s you. I hope that’s you! This is your season to stop waiting and start building. This is your season to stop asking and start creating. This is your season to stop shrinking and start showing up.
Take The Talk To Ingrid Challenge!
Tomorrow morning, before you do anything else, create 15 minutes of uninterrupted space. Not because someone gave it to you, but because you gave it to yourself. Grab a journal, and write down three things:
- What do I desire most right now?
- What is God calling me to focus on in this season?
- What is one bold action I can take today to move closer to that vision?
Then do it! Not waiting until next week, next month, or for conditions to be perfect. DO IT TODAY! The life you’re praying for is often waiting on the other side of a decision you’ve been postponing.
You are not waiting for permission. You are taking action. I believe in speaking things that are not as thought they were…speaking it by faith into existence…manifesting with your mouth! I believe there is power in the tongue! So get your mind right. Get your heart aligned. Activate your faith, and then go create the space, the opportunity, the life, and the legacy you’ve been dreaming about. The world doesn’t need another version of someone else. It needs the fully realized version of YOU. Now go make room for her/him.
Cheers to you,
Ingrid
