There’s something about Christmas that slows the world just enough for us to hear ourselves again. Beyond the noise of the season—the shopping lists, the glitter, the expectations, the perfectly staged moments—to the quieter hum underneath it all. The part of us that remembers. The part of us that feels. The part of us that knows what actually matters when the wrapping paper is gone and the lights are packed away. In the midst of Christmas 2025, let’s talk about gratitude—not the performative kind, but the kind that settles deep in your chest and softens your shoulders when you finally exhale. If you are like me, we have to have gratitude for waking up. Gratitude for making it through another year—changed, stretched, maybe tired, but still here. Gratitude for the people who love us well, and even for the ones who taught us what love is not. I believe this season isn’t asking you to be more. It’s inviting you to be present. To reflect on the moments that shaped you—both the sweet and the sharp. The wins that made you proud and the losses that made you wiser. I think more today than possibly ever before, life has a way of teaching us that what we once chased so hard often pales in comparison to what we quietly needed all along: peace, connection, purpose, and love that feels like home.
Christmas reminds us that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. It just has to be real. And yes—let’s add a little sugar and spice while we’re here. The sugar is in the laughter that sneaks up on you unexpectedly. In the smell of something baking that instantly transports you to a memory you didn’t even know you missed. In the joy of giving without needing anything in return. The spice? That’s the courage to choose joy even after a hard year. That’s the boldness to rest without guilt. That’s the decision to stop postponing happiness for “someday” and start letting love meet you right where you are. This season, you don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need to know what next year holds. Tomorrow can wait.
Tis the season to embrace…today is about love—received, given, remembered. So if no one has told you yet, let this be your soft permission slip: You are allowed to slow down. You are allowed to give yourself grace. You are allowed to stop worrying about tomorrow and embrace the beauty of right now. And if all the love you receive today comes through these words—through this moment of reflection—let that be enough. Let it count. Let it warm you. Because sometimes, love doesn’t arrive wrapped in ribbons.
Sometimes, it arrives quietly…like this.
It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year for Pause (ON PURPOSE)
As you move through this holiday season, take a sacred pause. Light a candle. Say thank you—for the life you’re living, exactly as it is. Release the pressure of what’s next and choose love today. If this message met you where you are, receive it as my expression of love to you—and carry it forward by extending grace to yourself and to someone else who needs it. Share this to spread blessings and grace this holiday season!
Cheers to the Season of Giving,
Ingrid
