Some seasons require us to rise higher than the moment — to stand as the voice of reason even when the world is performing in pure chaos. And right now, we’re living in one of the most unreasonable seasons we’ve ever seen. Between the disturbing actions and rhetoric coming out our political climate, the media’s appetite for distortion, and the way social movements twist depending on who’s under the spotlight, we’re navigating storms designed to confuse, divide, and distract.

One recent trend has disturbed me deeply: the pivot in public discourse that suggests powerful Black men in Hollywood are now the face of the “#MeToo” reckoning —as if suddenly they are the face of an epidemic that, statistically, they are not the driving force of. The system knows how to recycle an old playbook: create a new villain, redirect the outrage, and assign a racial silhouette to a problem that is deeply American, deeply systemic, and overwhelmingly white in statistic and reality. This is not my opinion, thoughts, twisted narrative…it’s researched and documentation that I didn’t create.

Current data backs this:

These are the facts — not the feelings, not the headlines, not the narratives shaped for clicks, agendas, or targeted political purposes. And yet, somehow the conversation drifts. Somehow social media becomes a courtroom. Somehow genuine justice becomes overshadowed by emotional theatrics — including the recent and deeply troubling sight of women filling a courtroom like fans at a red carpet event, idolizing an alleged killer as though criminal charges were a casting call. This is what happens when pain becomes entertainment. When accountability becomes performance. When truth gets edited for storyline effect. But let’s go deeper than that, because this moment isn’t just about statistics or scandals — it’s about our collective compass.

Diversity Isn’t Just a Buzzword — It’s a Lifeline for Truth

We live in a nation built on diversity, even when some try to pretend otherwise. Different voices, different cultures, different lived experiences — this is what gives society balance. Diversity isn’t just about people sitting at the same table; it’s about having different eyes on the truth, so no one narrative becomes the whole story. When we stand for the greater good — for truth, justice, fairness, compassion, and accountability — we protect the light in our communities. But when we fall for anything — clickbait, crowd mentality, emotional manipulation, politically charged narratives — we unknowingly add bricks to bottomless pits of darkness. Standing for something bigger keeps us grounded in purpose. Falling for anything keeps us circling in confusion, unable to see the truth even when it’s right in front of us. And so I come to you with the part the world often forgets: the faith factor. Because I believe in a God who still reigns above the noise. A God who sees beyond our headlines and heartaches. A God who refuses to let darkness win when His people choose light. Love still redeems. Grace still restores. Unity still heals. And the eternal rhythm of light overcoming darkness hasn’t stopped playing — even when the headlines try to drown it out. So no, don’t let these distractions twist you. Don’t let politics make you forget humanity. Don’t let media cycles steal your discernment. Don’t let anyone bully you into one-sided thinking, as if any one political party has the divine blueprint for truth. Agreeing to disagree is still sacred. Independent thought is still holy. The middle ground is not a weakness — it’s a superpower in an age of extremes.

Yes — these injustices exist. Yes — institutions often fail us. Yes — there will be painful stories, hard truths, and discomfort. But let’s not allow the noise to twist us. Let’s not trade bitterness for clarity, or demoralization for despair. Because real power — the kind that transforms communities, restores dignity, and rebuilds trust — comes from honesty, love, faith, and unity. True success is never an island. No man flourishes alone. A tree falling in the woods needs a forest around it to break its fall. Likewise, our victories, our healing, our redemption — they rise in community, nurtured by God’s grace and by each other’s support. I won’t tell you which political side is “right” or “wrong.” I won’t claim that any one ideology holds all the answers. Because truth — authentic truth — doesn’t belong to a party. It belongs to God, to love, to justice, to empathy.

Here’s Your Call to Action

Be the voice of reason! In your home, in your community, in your conversations, and on your platforms.
Stand firm in truth, even if your voice shakes. Challenge false narratives, even when they’re popular. Speak truth with compassion. Refuse to let false narratives thrive under the disguise of justice or virtue. Demand accountability — not just from individuals, but from institutions, from culture, from media. Refuse to be swayed by sensationalism. Stand firm in love, in respect, in dignity for all. Let us stop allowing the success of false narratives for personal or political gain. Because there is no real gain in casting blame, dehumanizing others, or building castles on shifting sand. Let us build on rock…on compassion, on truth, on community. In the end, that is where real healing begins. That is where true victory stands — not on trophies or headlines, but on restored dignity, redeemed lives, and unified purpose.

Unapologetically,

Ingrid
